Sony unveils the 16.2 Mp A55 and the 14.2 Mp A33 cameras that are equipped with a newly-developed Translucent Mirror Technology that achieves the highest-level of auto focus speed for both still image (up to 10 fps) and movie shooting. Both cameras offer enhanced Quick AF Live View, a 3" (7.5cm) free-angle LCD and a "Tru-Finder" Electronic Viewfinder with 100% coverage. It has been quiet for a while from the Kodak front, but today the company introduces the new stylish EasyShare M590, the world's thinnest 5x optical zoom digital camera. Ricoh introduces the new CX4 digital camera. Nikon expands its NIKKOR line with four new lenses. The new AF-S DX 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G, the AF-S 24-120mm f/4G and the AF-S 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lenses will ship in September with a price of $399.95, $1049.95 and $1299.95 respectively. The new AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.4G ED is an ultra-fast classic lens that has been engineered for professional portrait, studio and wedding photographers. Fujifilm launches the new FinePix REAL 3D W3 digital camera. This 3D digital camera offers the ability to shoot high-resolution 3D photos and movies in 3D High-Definition at 720p, with the help of a new RP (Real Photo) Processor.
